"Somebody" is a song by Norwegian singer Dagny, released as both the second single and track from her debut album, Strangers / Lovers (2020). She co-wrote it with Cato "Rat City" Sundberg, Kent Sundberg, and Lasse Michelsen, with production handled by Sundberg and Thomas Kongshavn. The accompanying music video, directed by Tusk, was released the same day on 1 May 2020, filmed in London prior to quarantine. The acoustic version was released on 25 June 2020 by Universal Music.
Dagny said in a press release about the record, "It's the all-consuming and exciting feeling when everything is still new. I've been lucky to experience it. I find that when I'm in love I feel everything ten times more than usual. With 'Somebody' for me it's not just the lyrics but the whole vibe of the song that represents that: when I listen to it I get a lot of positive energy and I just wanna throw myself into something new and exciting."[1]
